Britain's Black History

The Legacy Media Institute is non-profit organization founded by award-winning producer and director Tim Reid. In the summer of 2010 through the art of the documentary, the Institute took twelve filmmakers, including one from London representing BlackNine Films. They all participated in a 4-week Documentary Film Development training program designed to refine their film making techniques. Together they produced a moving story about Native American, European and African history all told through an area in Virginia known as Pocahontas Island. The final product, a 22-minute documentary entitled "The Enduring Saga of Pocahontas Island" To buy the film please visit our shop.
